Company History
Wilgro Services was founded in 1972 when two HVAC experts, Chris Wilhem and Joseph Grossi, combined their last names to form the name Wilgro. In the beginning, Wilgro Services primarily serviced public sector clients such as The Philadelphia School District and numerous governmental agencies. As the company grew, Wilgro expanded its operations as a commercial HVAC contractor to the entire Delaware Valley, serving both the public and private sectors in PA, NJ, and DE. They had one promise in mind when opening their doors in 1972: to handle every aspect of their business with a sense of urgency, which has been the mantra of Wilgro Services for over 50+ years.
In 1986, Jack Rinkers joined Wilgro Services to bring expertise to large installation projects and complex design build scenarios. Jack’s contributions were so impressive that he gradually took over the company’s operations and officially became the sole owner of the organization. Under Jack’s leadership and knowledge, Wilgro Services, has grown to be one of the largest non-union commercial HVAC contractors in the Philadelphia area. Specializing in heavy industrial facilities, large-scale office and apartment buildings, mixed-use retail, and a variety of other commercial spaces, Wilgro Services has been Going The Extra Degree Since 1972.
